Liquid Propane Injection - LPI The ultimate evolution of alternate fuels
LPI is not just another LPG Propane conversion system. LPI utilizes patented Icom JTG Technology manufactured by Icom North America. It is a fully integrated system, designed in complete harmony with the OEM engine. Utilizing the GM P-59 engine computer with a dedicated calibration specifically for propane, the LPI system simply replaces the gasoline fuel tank, fuel pump and injector rails with a propane fuel tank, fuel pump and injector rails. LPI is a direct replacement of the OEM gasoline injection system. Providing the best balance of fuel economy, performance, and emissions LPI meets EPA requirements through the 2010 production year for both 49 state and CARB certification.
LPI is engineered to maximize the inherent design benefits of today's gasoline engines. LPI is based on Icom JTG Technology which has over 100,000 systems in service globally. The LPI system replaces the gasoline injectors with propane injectors, delivering the propane to the cylinders in a liquid form. This results in lower intake valve temperatures, denser air-fuel charges, more complete combustion, lower emissions, and improved fuel economy and performance.
